There are some rules for Balance Transfer which has to be followed

1. After transfer your balance the minimum remaining balance in your SIM card should be 25SR
2. The Minimum Amount per transaction is 5SR. The Maximum Amount per transaction Is 20SR
3. Maximum Amount per Day is 250SR
4. Per transaction will charge you 0.50SR
5. The Balance transfer service is not available for Zain Max and Zain Noor Visitor package.

How to Remove Windows Media Center Virus from Windows 7

Yesterday one of my office colleague encountered a very strange kind of virus in his personal laptop. The virus changes the behavior of exe files in Windows 7 and opens Windows Media Center upon opening any execute files, any programs and applications. Even you cannot run the Internet Explorer, Yahoo Messenger, Google Chrome etc. After searching the solution on the internet I found that actually this virus make some wrong entries in the Windows Registery and makes in inaccessible. I tried to open windows registery by entering 'regedit' in Run dialogh box but it opened Windows Media Center again.

How to Force HP Laser Printers to Print even Cartridge is empty

In many HP Laser printer models the Cartridge / toner has a small electric chip (circut) which keeps track of number-of-prints done by that specific toner / cartridge. This helps maintain quality of print because the toner manufecturer knows approximately how many prints can be done with the amount of Ink powder that exist inside the toner. Upon reaching that number the chip on toner tells printer to stop printing. At that stage printer start showing an error message on printer display LCD panel to indicate that print limit is reached and now toner must be replaced. This is a good feature by printer manufacturer because it also shows that how much further printing could be possible with current toners. The printer LCD always shows Ink levels. This help you identify when you should purchase a new toner to avoid emergency breakdowns in printing.

However this feature sometimes becomes annoying when Ink poweder inside toner is not fully consumed but the number of print-outs in toner chip ends. This happens often because everytime you send a print to printer doesn't include all color shades. Sometime you are printing a page with most part of the page with red content, but a very little amount of yellow or meganta. Similar happens with other color shades. A very few print-outs are that who are using average quantity of ink from all toners at the same time. But every-time you print, the chip on cartridge considers that this print-out consumed average amount of Ink powder and it subtract 1 from total allowed print-outs.

Finally sometime Yellow toner ends first, sometime Magenta, sometime Cyan, sometimes Black toner ends first. Then immediately printer stops printing and asks you to Replace a Cartridge / Toner. However the ink powder inside still has capacity to print few more pages. At this stage you can Force your printer to print and ignore / override the error message.

I tried it with HP Color Laser Jet CP2025 printer and HP Color Laser jet 3600 printer but believer me, most HP printers have this capability.

Force HP LaserJet CP2025 to Print upon Cartridge Ends

1. In HP LaserJet CP2025 click on the OK button, it will show up the Setup Menu.
2. Press Right Arrow or Left Arrow to navigate between options and choose System Setup. Click OK button to choose.
3. Navigate again with arrow key and Choose Print Quality with OK button.
4. Navigate again with arrow key and Choose Replace Supplies with OK button.
5. Navigate again with arrow key and Choose Override out with OK button.
6. LCD panel will show the message To Accept press OK.
7. Press the OK button and then Return (arrow with a bend) button few times to exit from menu.

Now printer will show Ready message on LCD but also keep blinking the cartridge level indicator that is ended.

Force HP LaserJet 3600 to Print upon Cartridge Ends

1. In HP LaserJet 3600 click on the MENU button.
2. Navigate in the menu with UP or DOWN arrow buttons and choose Diagnostics.
3. Navigate further with UP or DOWN arrow buttons and choose Disable Cartridge check.
4. Press Return (arrow with a bend) button few times to exit from menu.

Repairing Corrupted USB Pen Drives with HP Format Utility

Recently one of my USB pen drive got corrupted. Windows 7 built in format utility was unable to format it. I tested it windows vista and windows xp. But it seems all kind of Windows operating systems are unable to handle this issue. The USB flash is Kingston manufacturer and it was 128GB that might be an expensive gadget for a lot of people these days. It was about 120 US $ when purchased, so loosing this device would be a not easy option for me, I started searching over google how to repair this kind of corrupted USB or how to repair corrupted usb pen drive.

In the mean time I also tested it via Ubuntu linux but it didn’t work for me. A lot of people recommended me right click my computer icon in windows and choose Manage option. Then go to disk management and delete the partition, change drive letter and then re format it, it didn’t work also. Another blog recommended me to check for file system errors in drive properties, that I was trying all day long and it didn’t work too. Then I found a recommendation by Martin Brinkmann at ghacks.net

Getting Adsense money in Saudi Arabia via Western Union

Finally on 21st July 2011, I have received my first Google Adsense payment via Western Union Quick Cash. Actually it was my second payment issued by Google Adsense. First payment was issued by check a few months ago. However I couldn't cash that check because Payee Name was not correct in that. Google Adsense suggested me to close my Adsense account and apply for a new one. I did the same way and Google Adsense sent my balance amount with wrong payee name. That check is still with me & it is more than 6 months old now. So I don’t expect I could cash it anymore.

Later on I created another account and it was approved hardly, this time I submitted correct Payee Name as per my local documents and also changed payment method from “Check” to “Western Union Quick Cash”

When my Google Adsense income reached 10 SU $, Google Adsense sent me a Pin via my postal address. That reached to me within 2, 3 weeks then I added that PIN into my account. That verified my physical existence to Google Adsense people. After that upon reaching 100 US $ balance finally I found that my payment was sent on 25th of the month.

As per my selection this time Payment was sent via Wester Union Quick Cash. I visited Western Union website and try to locate my payment with MTCN and sender name but website has give me following error.

How to set OsCommerce Directory Permissions

As per oscommerce default. You should set following directory permissions via any FTP client e.g Filezilla. Please do the following steps.

• After installation delete install folder.
• Reset the permissions on /includes/configure.php to 644 (if you are still getting the warning message at the top set configure.php to 444 which is read only - this happens on some servers that have been updated for security reasons).
• Set the permissions on /images directory to 777.
• Reset the permissions on /admin/includes/configure.php to 644.
• Create the dir /admin/backups and set the permissions to 777.
• Set the permissions on /admin/images/graphs directory to 777.
• Set the permissions on /admin directory to 755.

You need to .htaccess your /admin directory so that it is password protected. You can use the password manager in your server admin area like cpanel.

How to install CAB files on Your Pocket PC

I am writing this simple guide with the idea to help you installing and using all those great applications you will ever want. How to install CAB files on Pocket PC?

First of all you need to find and download the program you want to install. I will use an application called PDAStatus, which shows the status of your device on today screen. When the download process is complete you need to copy the CAB file and paste it somewhere on your device, I personally recommend to do this at the Storage Card. Note that some applications are zipped so you need to unarchive them to have the CAB file. Now you need to open pocket pc's File Explorer, located into the Programs. Browse the storage card or the location you used to copy the CAB. When you select and run it, a windows will appear, which asks you to Choose a location to install the program. It can be your Device or the Storage Card, so select your choice and click below on Install. The process after that is fully automated and after the installation is complete it will show you confirmation screen.

This is all you need to do to install CAB files to your Windows Mobile Pocket PC device. Below is video on which you can see how I installed PDAStatus on my HTC TyTN.

Report a Yahoo Group if it is annoying you

Google groups has provided a very nice and clear system to report a Group but Yahoo sometime is annoying and it is difficult to find the Group abuse report page. Often it happens with me suddenly I start reciving tons of email in my inbox. When I inquire about the sender I came to know these email coming from various mailing groups, mostly Yahoo groups. I have a yahoo identity and I am part of few yahoo groups too, but when I visited my yahoo groups page I don't find myself as a member of group who is sending me bulk emails. This thing really irritating me. When I visit suspected group who is sending me un-necessary email I can't login to that. I have added my multiple ids in my yahoo groups setting so most of the time I transfer my regular group emails to gmail or hotmail becuase I can't bother login to all my mail boxes everyday. This confuses me more at Yahoo groups.

Some time you have to move here and there frequently and at that time you have to Lock your system to prevent from un-authorized access. If you find it difficult to press CTRL+ALT+DEL every time you want to lock your machine. I tell you an easy way to do this task.

Lock your system with a Single Mouse Click.

Try this and create the icon to lock the machine.

1. Right click an empty spot on the desktop, point to New and click Shortcut.
2. In the Create Shortcut dialog box, copy and paste the 'Type the location' text box:
   rundll32 user32.dll,LockWorkStation
3. Click Next.
4. In "Type a name for this shortcut", type "Lock My PC" and Click Finish.
5. It will Create a shortcut on your desktop. Whenever you Double click on it, it will lock your system immediately.
